Ingredients

Ingredients serve 12 persons

5 egg yolks,
250 grams of sugar,
2 tablespoons hot water

1 dl favorite gin,
1 lime, grated zest and juice,
1 hand full of poppy seeds,
250 grams of carrots,
250 ground almonds,
80 grams of flour,
2 teaspoons of baking soda

5 egg white,
1 pinch of salt

300 grams of powdered sugar,
2 tbsp water,
2 tbsp lime juice

12 marzipan carrots

Instructions

Beat the sugar, egg yolk and water in a bowl with a hand whisk for about 5 minutes until fluffy.

Mix the carrots and all the ingredients up to and including the gin into the mixture. mix in the flour and baking powder.

Beat the egg whites with the salt and fold into the mixture.

Bake for 45 minutes in a preheated oven at 180 degrees (top and bottom heat) on the middle shelf.

Cool, remove carefully and don't forget to decorate.
