Natto umami explosion

If you‘re looking for a crazy umami explosion, this is the recipe. Eat this with a cup of rice and you have a fantastic meal!


Ingredients serve 2 persons

1 small onion or spring onion

Optional: 1 teaspoon mayonnaise

1 teaspoon olive oil

1.5 teaspoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon ponzu sauce

1 teaspoon vinegar (ideal: black rice vinegar)

1 teaspoon mustard

1 teaspoon of dashi (fish flakes - optional)

150 - 200g of Natto (fermented soybeans)

Let it rest for 30mins and enjoy!!

Chop onions finely and put in a small bowl.

Put soy sauce, vinegar, dashi (japnese fish broth), mustard, ponzu, oilive oil into the bowl.

Add the natto and stir well. The longer you stirr, the slimier the natto gets, which is great!
